Commission Piece

I think that pregnancy is amazingly beautiful. A friend of mine asked me to draw her pregnancy for her. This took roughly 2 weeks to complete. I was a bit sad to see it go, but it was the best drawing I had done for anyone, so a bit proud that she wanted it framed. :)

This was done in graphite on Strathmore drawing paper. 11x14

What's IN There??

This was done completely out of boredom. I wanted to draw, but had no inspiration. I started with just a few lines, and it ended up being...well...this. lol  I honestly enjoyed working on this piece just simply because no one had any idea what it would be. Yet everyone still supported me and some even actually LIKED it. :)

Hiding From Death

This is something I happened to get stuck inside my head and needed it out. I had a lot of fun with this one. It's more of a fantasy piece, so I could play with it a bit.

Still Life with Colored Pencils

This was done in July of 09. It's the second colored pencil piece I've done and I think it turned out much better than expected. I had a lot of fun doing this, although that banana really wanted me to eat it...so I did. :) This was a 'challenge' from another blog I really enjoy posting to.

This was done with prismacolor colored pencils on crappy artist's paper. It took about 4 days (or closer to 15 hours) to actually complete.

Wow, My own Blog

This is definately a first for me. Basically, until I allow others to view and post, I need to play around a bit. I want to make this an art blog. I will eventually allow others to see what I'm doing and then add the ability to post here as well. I just basically want to make sure this thing works. :)  This is going to be my sketch and drawing blog. Hopefully, I'll be able to see a dramatic improvement in my art as I continue.
